Applications
LV AB Cable is a novel concept for over-head power distribution.
Compared to bare overhead conductor distribution system, AB Cables
provide higher safety and reliability, lower power losses and ultimate
system economy by reducing installation, maintenance and operating
costs.
ABC distribution system is ideal for rural distribution,
urban areas, hilly areas, forest areas and costal areas.

Anvil’s AB Cables can be supplied as per the following
specifications:
Construction
Phase conductors are concentrically stranded EC Grade aluminium
wires, insulated with either black weather resistant cross linked
polyethylene (XLPE) or polyethylene (PE). The conductor insulation
is marked with longitudinal ridges for phase identification.
Neutral messengers are concentrically stranded
AAC or 6201-Alloy or ACSR. Neutral messenger can either be bare
or insulated, depending on ABC design.
Street Lighting conductor, which is normally 16
mm2 hard drawn aluminium insulated conductor, is provided if required.
